Meet the Team

Marilyn Kane is a founding partner and President of Iridium Capital, having been involved in commercial real estate since 1986, first as a broker and then as principal of real estate firm Sperry Van Ness Butler Kane, where she is currently an Advisor and Managing Director. She earned a B.S. from New York University in 1970.

Marilyn was named by Crain’s New York Business as one of “New York’s100 Most Influential Women in Business.” Real Estate Weekly named her one of the top “100 Women Real Estate Leaders of the 21^st Century.” 

B. David Kane in a founding partner and Vice-President of Iridium Capital.  Mr. Kane attended Queens College and obtained a BS Degree majoring in Mathematics.  Mr. Kane established a property/ casualty insurance agency, B David Kane Agency, in 1954 and has been president from inception to date.

Mr. Kane has been investing in securities for the past 60 years as a Technical Analyst. He has managed a family trust and various other family stock accounts for the past 20 years.

Sean Shanahan is the Chief Financial Officer of Iridium Capital and one of its founding partners. Sean is responsible for the financial analysis and modeling of net-leased assets as well as portfolio construction. A graduate of Fordham University with a BS in Finance and a Minor in Economics, he previously specialized in New York metro area multifamily properties for HH Realty Group, subsequent to being named an advisor for Sperry Van Ness Butler Kane.
